It’s also unknown how long Quigley is expected to be out and if Weatherford is just a one-game rental. He was due to make more than $2 million this season.

Quigley was suddenly added to the Jets’ injury report Saturday, when he was listed as questionable for the Patriots game with a shin injury. He has 64 rushing yards, a pass attempt, and has made 18 tackles when on the field. The 32-year-old Weatherford has averaged 44.5 yards per punt, with a 37.8 net average in his career that has included stops with New Orleans, Kansas City and Jacksonville.
