Two Weeks of Falling Gas Prices to Continue
The online fuel reporting service said today the average price of a gallon of regular gas in Chattanooga is $1.86 per gallon, or 34 cents per gallon below the USA average.

In its news release, AAA said experts are still expecting the national average of gas to fall below $2.
Gas prices in Iowa have fallen 5.1 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.40 a gallon Sunday, according to GasBuddy. That’s also much lower than the national average from a year ago, when motorists were paying $3.08. About GasBuddy.com GasBuddy is the premiere source for real-time local gas prices.
GasBuddy analysts predict gas prices should fall even more this fall. Last week’s average price was the lowest for this time of year since 2003. It is unlikely that gasoline will return to levels that low, but $2 or slightly below is not out of the question.
In Copperas Cove, the Stripes store at 1262 US 190, and Murphy United States of America, 2712 E. US 190 near Gibson Street, show prices at $1.85.

The price in Maine was 95.4 cents less per gallon than a year ago, and 6.9 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. In Georgia, the average price is $2.06, 6 cents cheaper than last week and 89 cents cheaper than this time a year ago.
