How to Disable the Windows 10 Upgrade Prompt
Microsoft appears not intent to perk up PC sales with the Windows 10 because, for the first time, the Redmondian company released a new operating system and then offered it to consumers for a free update, particularly those PCs that are capable of running the software, details Re/code.

Unless you are actively reading, checking and carefully choosing your options during the installation, the operating system will swap any rival browsers you’d set as the default on Windows 7 or 8.1 to Microsoft Edge.

Competitors like Samsung Pay, Android Pay and Apple Pay ask users to scan their fingerprint when the device is near an NFC terminal, but Belfiore cited the Windows Hello authentication system as an example of the “kind of technology we’ll build into devices for authentication to make… payments better”.

Whether Continuum will find takers and give the Windows 10 Mobile platform a push remains to be seen. With a booming ecosytem, a fast adoption rate and interoperability, Windows 10 is the culmination of Microsoft’s vision.
