Huge ticket sales for new Star Wars film
As we all know by now, there is one thing missing from the latest (and presumably final) trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and that is any sign of Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker.

Actors Daisy Ridley and John Boyega basically melted down as they posted their reactions to seeing themselves in the trailer.
But the marketing approach there is complicated, because the original three “Star Wars” films did not play in Chinese theaters when they were made.
Wired reports that users on infamous image board 4Chan came up with the campaign to instigate controversy before it was taken over with more racist and discriminatory content. AMC theaters are also selling tickets for 39 “Star Wars” marathon events, where they will be showing all seven films on December 17.
“On Fandango, “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” ticket buyers will be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a trip to the film’s world premiere”.
Stalwarts of the Star Wars franchise – including Harrison Ford’s character, Han Solo – appear in the clip, along with a couple of new faces. In less than 24 hours Star Wars has created the kind of buzz Hollywood has not seen in quite a while.
Fandango said on Tuesday that it “experienced unprecedented ticketing demand”.
While it is rare for tickets to go on sale two months ahead of a film’s release, studios will do it for big fan-anticipated films. A batch of tickets for the “Star Wars” 7 midnight screening will also be released.
Just a day after its posting, the trailer has already received nearly 23 millions views with comments amounting to nearly 60,000.
Disney soon announced plans for a new trilogy in the series, with acclaimed Hollywood director J.J. Abrams being entrusted with “The Force Awakens”.
