Mattingly to the Marlins?
Just four days after Don Mattingly and the Dodgers mutually agreed to part ways, the 54-year-old already has a meeting lined up with another team.

The two seem like a great fit, with Mattingly’s experience and success as both a player and manager, not to mention his “big name” appeal, falling in line with what Miami has said they’re looking for in a new skipper.
If Don Mattingly is the frontrunner to become the next manager of the Miami Marlins, the team is reportedly wasting little time to make it happen.
The Marlins’ manager position has historically been a tumultuous one-14 have held the position at one time or another in the franchise’s 23-year history, including Girardi in 2006 when he was named Manager of the Year.
Owner Jeffrey Loria’s first choice for weeks has been Mattingly, people familiar with the situation say, and now that Mattingly is available following his departure from the Dodgers, that hasn’t changed. The Marlins have interviewed Manny Acta, Bo Porter, Alex Cora, Phil Nevin and Mattingly’s good buddy Larry Bowa. But the search may take a complete turn with the sudden availability of Mattingly.
Former Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is interviewing for the vacant Marlins managerial job on Monday, per Joe Frisaro of MLB.com and Jon Heyman of CBS Sports.

Whatever the case, Mattingly is interested in the opening and he could be going from the NL West to the NL East within the next week.
