The Juventus midfield enforcer was heavily linked with Manchester City and Chelsea in the summer, but the 22-year-old stayed put in Turin.

His agent, Mino Raiola, has now rubbished talk of a pre-agreement with the Blaugrana and confirmed there was interest from a few clubs in his client before the season began, but also hinted he could end up staying with the Bianconeri in Serie A.

Whilst a few in Spain believe Pogba had agreed a deal to join Barcelona, Raiola denied that was the case when speaking to Le10Sport.

“There were three or four clubs interested him in the summer, but he chose to stay at Juve and he is convinced he made the right choice”.

However, asked whether Pogba felt the pressure of wearing the number 10 shirt, Raiola added: “It’s the Italian sick way of seeing things”. Past year he was applauded for anything, now he’s jeered when playing the same way. “He’s a great champion who’s going through a rough spell like the whole of the team”.
