First look at Irish star’s role in new Bond film
“I had to have surgery but it worked out quite well because everyone got a two week rest – it was an eight month shoot so we were all exhausted out”. “There wasn’t a gap for me”, says Craig, looking relaxed in jeans, a white T-shirt and blue cardigan.

“We wanted it to be better than Skyfall”, states Craig. In the video, seen below, the actor talks about the seriousness of his injuries that required him to undergo surgery.
While he has also suggested that he will continue, Craig’s comments show at least an ambivalence about the all-consuming role of Bond from an actor who guards his privacy closely and enjoys a quiet pint in the pub. It’s always awkward, you know.
The 24th James Bond film, directed by Skyfall’s Mendes, will be graced by the royal presence after it was selected for the Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund’s Royal Film Performance 2015.
“We could work with a slightly different style from the other films I’ve done”.
“I really don’t have anyone else on my mind and I would not want to be able to have to make that decision because I think he (Craig) is an absolutely brilliant Bond”. “It’s a Bond movie”.
After a gruelling red carpet, where a few fans had queued since Saturday to catch a glimpse of the leading star, Daniel grabbed his wife for a full on smooch before his latest outing as Bond debuted at the Royal Albert Hall.
As for who’d make the flawless Bond, the 39-year-old actress says that she can’t see past Craig, who is reportedly contracted to do at least one more film. Bond infiltrates a secret meeting and uncovers the existence of the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. He is also scheduled to appear in the next James Bond film, Sceptre.
In this chapter, they’re not adhering to any previous versions of Spectre but rather “rediscovering” it – as well as the super villain, this time played by the two-time Oscar-winner Christoph Waltz as Oberhauser. “Having this organisation allows us to be both traditional, while also bringing in something very new”.
Simon tailored Daniel’s training to the stunts they would be shooting.
“I thought he’d come after me, but he was so sweet about it. He said, “Look, it’s happened before”.
If you think the Bond franchise has been missing sadistic red-headed henchwomen, then Spectre will right that particular wrong. “I’m obviously the one that isn’t safe”, he adds with a grin. Fans will remember his clash with Robert Shaw’s Red Grant in From Russian Federation with Love and a showdown with Jaws in The Spy Who Loved Me… now Spectre pits him against man-mountain Mr Hinx. Hannes Oberhauser was Bond’s skiing instructor who was later killed.
In the Time Out interview, when asked whether he could imagine doing another Bond movie, he said: “Now?”
