Five Takeaways: Giants 27, Cowboys 20

Hardy, who on Sunday confronted special teams coach Rich Bissacia toward the end of the team’s loss to the Giants, was reportedly late to practice last week. The injured standout wide receiver and the controversial pass rusher had a heated verbal exchange on the sideline.

And, oh yeah, the Cowboys – the last-place Dallas Cowboys – remained winless since Romo suffered a broken left clavicle in Week 2.

Joseph Randle started Sunday’s matchup between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, but he didn’t stick around long after that, exiting for good after two carries with a back issue. The Cowboys really aren’t in any position to do anything but let Greg Hardy be himself, as bad as he may be.

“I don’t have any issue with him being involved in pushing any part of the team”, Jones said, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in the US.

“I think right now it depends on the plan and the type of game we expect and how we strategize and plan on using”. We don’t have much margin at all. “They did more than what we did, they made more plays”.

“Added Bisaccia, “[Hardy] wanted to get in there and kind of get after a few of the guys a little bit, maybe get them fired up … It was the first time the Giants have had a kickoff return and interception return for a touchdown since 1951. Hardy played only one game for the Panthers in 2014 and spent the rest of the year on the commissioner’s exempt list with full pay.

New York Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (41) intercepts a pass to Dallas Cowboys’ Brice Butler (19) during the second half of an NFL football game Sunday, October 25, 2015, in East Rutherford, N.J. “The turnovers today were the name of the game”.

The Cowboys are 0-4 without Romo and 2-4 overall.

The Washington Redskins improved to 3-4 on the season after a 31-30 come-from-behind victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, rallying from a 24-point deficit.

Jason Witten made his 137th consecutive start. We’re not gonna break.

No, this wasn’t the Giants best game and certainly there will have to be immediate improvement on both sides of the ball if they are to maintain their division lead. Give them credit for making enough plays to win the game, but we’re going to give battling. Dallas got another field goal and then took the lead on a one yard touchdown run by McFadden to go up 13-7. It may be harsh to put all of the blame on Cassel, but he is the QB and we all know people point the finger at QB’s. I don’t want to make a big deal out of it. It’s just the way we should be playing. It will be one that he and the Giants can be proud of, as they were able to get over the hump against a team they have come up short against continually in recent matchups and did it without being ideal in every aspect of the game.

Dallas rushed for 233 yards, but the Giants benefited from four Cowboys turnovers and a 100-yard kickoff return for a touchdown by Dwayne Harris to end their five-game losing streak against their NFC East rival and hand Coughlin his 100th win as the Giants head coach.
