Trey Gowdy briefly discusses Hillary Clinton hearing
Ripping a page out of husband president Bill’s never-say-die playbook, Clinton – who led rival Barack Obama early in their 2008 battle only to see him snatch the nomination later in the race – may be proving that she too can be the comeback kid.

“After yesterday’s 11-hour hearing, there can be no remaining doubt that the Benghazi Select Committee is a taxpayer-funded fishing expedition to derail Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign”, the five Democrats said in a statement.
Clinton focused heavily on equal pay for women and the Benghazi hearing which gathered national attention Thursday in her speech.
“I said I would do it, and I did it because if there is anything new, which is unlikely after the eight prior investigations that have been held, we should know about it because the point is, what are we going to do to both honor the people that we lost and try to make sure this doesn’t happen again?” “I think she will, but it’s going to be really hard”. But at the end of the marathon, Clinton went away relatively unscathed with her presidential ambitions looking even more intact.
As a few of you may know, I had a pretty long day yesterday, she said.
She added, “I want to build on the progress that they are leaving behind”.
The dysfunction is highlighted by the fact that Clinton was regularly receiving, and sometimes acting upon, emails from Sid Blumenthal whom the Obama administration had banned from working at State.
Amid questioning that at times bordered on a courtroom-style interrogation, Clinton avoided any major gaffes in her Thursday testimony as she sought to portray herself above the partisan fray as committee members bickered. They argue because the operation yielded to political chaos and a power vacuum exploited by terror groups like ISIS.
The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees also endorsed Clinton on Friday, giving her the backing of an important union.
While Clinton aides tried to downplay her winning streak, stressing that capturing the Democratic primary nomination will still require a lot of work, they noted her commanding performance in both last week’s debate and her congressional testimony.
“People see her being substantive and in command on the issues, that is a constant in terms of her attributes as a candidate”, Fallon said. “We’re grateful to Republicans for giving her the best week ever”.
Clinton’s defense on this score was comparable to the “I relied on my security professionals” line. “This is why she needs to be our commander in chief”, said Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton confident, at a Friday afternoon campaign event.
Meanwhile, the billionaire real estate developer and entertainer attacked Clinton’s record on Iraq and Libya, saying she was wrong as senator from New York to vote for the war in Iraq and wrong as secretary of state to support intervention in Libya. First it was an easy trip for Washington-based news crews keen to follow up on Clinton’s performance before the hearing on Friday.

For the first time in the 2016 race on Saturday, Bill Clinton, who has had a mostly behind-the-scenes role so far in her 2016 White House effort, will headline a rally for his wife, in Des Moines, that will also feature singing Katy Perry.
