The Royals twice defied logic to mount shocking comeback victories during each of the last two postseasons.
Each of the four starters is able to pump fastballs of 95 miles per hour or faster; the Mets, in fact, led the majors in such high-velocity pitches, accounting for 22% of all offerings. The Mets haven’t even visited Kansas City since 2004.
Matt Harvey will start Tuesday’s Game 1 of the World Series for the New York Mets against the Kansas City Royals and will be followed in order by fellow righthanders Jacob deGrom and Noah Syndergaard in Games 2 and 3 and then left-hander Steven Matz in Game 4. “I was one of those guys that started playing when he was 4 or 5”, said Collins, whose father died just before spring training. He last pitched October. 17, throwing just 97 pitches in 7 2/3 innings in a victory over the Chicago Cubs in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series.
DS: My prediction is that it’ll go to seven games and that the Royals will win.
One odd byproduct of this rotation is that Jacob deGrom will go the entire postseason without starting a game at Citi Field. The Mets are the team and Matt Harvey is all the hype. Seemingly every option they could possibly want to explore will be available. “So it’s going to be fun”.
This past week, Dante took a few time to speak with the Press’s own resident Mets fanatic about the 2015 pennant race, his beloved Mets, and how he thinks they will fare in the World Series. “The one thing I said when I took this job, I was going to enjoy managing a lot more than I did in the past”.
Frankly, I am a little surprised by Terry Collin’s choices here.
DS: Yeah, I wasn’t around for any of those things, but it is the 10th anniversary of SNY this year, so they’ve been showing a lot of special moments for the Mets, and I also hear about different things on different programs.
The pitching-rich New York Mets, boosted by Daniel Murphy’s power surge.
After a shaky regular season with the Kansas City Royals, Cueto has proved to be inconsistent once again in the postseason. A year ago the Royals ended a 29-year playoff drought but lost to the San Francisco Giants in the World Series.

“Obviously, he looks great in batting practice”. “He’s been to this dance before and I think his presence in the clubhouse and on the bench would be huge”.
