Meanwhile, there must be thousands of questions that people could have asked Daniel Craig about SPECTRE. As Bond ventures towards the heart of SPECTRE, he learns of a chilling connection between himself and the enemy he seeks, played by Christoph Waltz. But for the screaming crowds in central London all the action was on the dramatic red carpet setting complete with Bond cars and theme music from all 24 films blaring out of loud speakers. News, all eyes gazed upon the three British monarchs when they graced the premiere in London.
The new movie sends James Bond on a rogue mission to Mexico City and eventually Rome, where he meets Lucia Sciarra (Monica Bellucci), the widow of an infamous criminal. At present, Daniel Craig is my favourite Bond, but then, when I was young, it was Sean Connery.
Craig, who played the Bond role for a decade now, has thanked everyone who joined him in the premiere of “Spectre”, including the royal family.
Screening took place throughout night at Vue in Cribbs Causeway with showings from 7.30pm last night until 5.30am this morning for those who just could not wait to see Bond. I’m not overwhelmed, I’m very excited and I can’t wait for people to see the movie.
Wearing a black tuxedo, with a poppy pinned on its left side, the actor spent time signing autographs for fans and taking selfies. “Even when filming serious scenes we joked and had fun”, Seydoux told British newspaper the Mail on Sunday, referring to Craig.
The latest film sees the MI6 agent confronting enemies from his past through a shadowy organisation known as Spectre.
Rich said: “We booked our tickets as soon as they were available”.
Filming had to be delayed while Craig recovered from the operation but the actor said: “I’m still standing”.
Premiere presenters David Walliams and Susanna Reid turned up early in a vintage Rolls Royce – the same vehicle Bond used to drive through the Sahara desert in one of the hit films.
Daniel revealed that he’s not anxious about comparisons to Skyfall’s success: “It’s a really good pressure to have”, he said. “I’m very proud to be here tonight”. With a movie, everyone is going to give the same performance…so that aspect isn’t too nerve-wracking.
He added: “I want people to like it, it’s as simple as that. I’m really thrilled and a bit relieved”.
“Who knows? I don’t know”, he said.
“That was a lovely feeling that they would trust me”.
Harris, who reprises her role as Eve Moneypenny, admitted the cast are unlikely to mingle with the royals at the film’s afterparty.
“I was a Bond fan when I was a teenager”. Belluci, also a love interest in the film, wore a dark gown with a plunging neckline.
The franchise’s newcomers such as Waltz, Bautista, Andrew Scott and Bond girls Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci were also on the red carpet.
She said: “I don’t think so sadly”.

He said 007 “becomes your life” and he had warm words for director Sam Mendes who was also at the helm for the previous film Skyfall.
