Speaking at a shareholder’s meet, Juventus general manager Giuseppe Marotta said that although no concrete plans have been made as of yet for the Columbian to stay at the club.

However the Colombian worldwide has looked reinvigorated on his return to Serie A and has nailed down a starting role for the Italian champions, making 10 appearances since his loan move in August.

“We have no right of redemption, at Chelsea’s request, it is just a loan”, Marotta was quoted saying, by Daily Mirror, at the meet.

“Cuadrado has expressed his happiness at being here with us, as well as [a desire] to continue here in future.

We’ll talk about it with Chelsea, we’re now very confident”.

“Allegri never specifically asked for a trequartista”. He gave us certain characteristics, but the formation is down to the players you have in the squad.

As we learned earlier this week, Gazzetta dello Sport were already claiming that Cuadrado’s permanent transfer would be done for €22 million – approximately £15.6 million at current exchange rates – even though Chelsea wanted slight more.

“His sale represented an economic loss for Inter”.

“At the moment he is totally owned by Sassuolo”, added the executive.

“We are monitoring him and we will have a consultation at the end of the season”.
