Where the heck is Luke Skywalker?

After the release of the latest “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer last week, more speculations have graced the headlines, centered on the possible plot twists that could happen in the movie as well as the fate of the characters. Nope. Set pictures? Big nope.

There’s no question that Mark Hamill is in The Force Awakens, but now that the missing Jedi doesn’t feature on the poster or merchandise from the film, many are beginning to question his allegiance to the moral side of the Force.

“These are good questions to be asking”, Abrams said.

These are worrying times – clearly the erstwhile Star Trek maestro has a dastardly plan for poor Luke worthy of the Emperor himself, perhaps turning him to evil or transforming him into a wacky cyborg who falls over a lot. One person who would know, is director J.J. Abrams. Of course, the Mystery Box has never faced a challenge like Star Wars, with rabid fans flying drones over locations to get a glimpse of walker feet, hanger mounds and other details.

Fortunately, we don’t have to wait too much longer to find the answer, as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” opens in theaters in the United Kingdom and Australia on December 17, followed by the U.S. on December 18. But regardless of whether those are true, do yourself a favor and start focusing on the new characters such as Finn, Rey and Kylo Ren.

Abrams also said that the film’s final cut will be finished before the visual effects are completed in the next few weeks, and added that there’s still one more scoring session left to do with composer John Williams.
