Amazon Echo is a pretty unique product, you’ll be forgiven for thinking that it’s nothing more than a Bluetooth-enabled speaker, which it technically is but it does come with Alexa.

If you haven’t gotten onto the Amazon Echo bandwagon yet, the latest update might convince you to give Alexa a try. Select Device location, then Edit, and enter your full address and hit save.
Other potential questions you can ask include bothering Alexa for nearby restaurants in general, or for restaurants with a specific theme-like, say, if you want Alexa to find you the nearest place you can get Chinese food from.
The Alexa app can be found on the Google Play Store right now, and you can pick up an Echo speaker directly from Amazon for $179.
According to Wikipedia, Yelp is an American multinational corporation which develops, hosts and markets Yelp.com and the Yelp mobile app. The company also trains small businesses in responding to reviews, hosts social events for reviewers and provides data about businesses, including health inspection scores.
You can already ask Alexa to do things like read the day’s headlines or tell you how the weather is outside, now you can ask it for information on local businesses as well. The personal digital assistant will also serve as a promotional platform for local businesses, and pave a path for Amazon Echo.
The update also offers more than Yelp recommendations.

We should point out that the search results are delivered to the user via Alexa. On the other hand, people should first notify Alexa as to which teams they are following closely. The Echo can now be integrated with your existing Insteon or SmartThings setup, which will allow you to control a few smart devices within your home simply by talking to your Echo.
