“They laid it out there when they had to and I’m proud of the way they played”.

LaFell returned to practice for the first time Wednesday and after three straight practices, he said Friday that he felt everything responded well.

Don’t count New England Patriots player rep Matthew Slater as a supporter of Thursday night football.

“If I had to give myself a grade, it would be “F”, he told ESPN. “Everything was right. I just have to stay on it a little bit more”. “Had we stopped them at any [point in] time when we could have used a timeout, we would have used it. They were all positive plays on their side, not on our side, so it was really hard to do”.

At times it looked as though LaFell was still getting accustomed to his timing with Brady.

“It seems like he’s ready”, Phil Perry said on Reporting from Foxboro.

The lawyers said in papers filed with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that Judge Richard Berman reached an “inexplicable” conclusion when he determined that the league failed to adequately warn Brady of the potential suspension and made errors in its investigation that required him to nullify the penalty.

“I think the closer you are the higher percentage you have”, the Jets quarterback said.

The Jets also suffered multiple injuries to key players in Sunday’s game. He finished with two touchdown passes, but could have easily had a third, which brings us to the turning point in the game. “I don’t think it’s just one person”. Good for the Jets’ seasonal statistics against the run, but Belichick, as usual, got the last laugh. “I just didn’t play like I was good”. Fitzpatrick got the ball back with 1:13 left and gained 43 yards in 55 seconds after passes to Marshall, Chris Owusu and Zac Stacy. They gained onto one yard on the ground from a running back and dropped nine passes. The Patriots defense had been allowing 4.8 yards per carry on the season.

Texans head coach Bill O’Brien said that he would be handling any discipline internally and that it was “not for public consumption”. “I feel like we were the better team out there, but obviously we weren’t”. I do, and I’m sure everybody else does. We just didn’t score enough touchdowns.

As LaFell packed up his things to leave the Patriots locker room, he got Amendola’s attention to thank him for helping to make the sting of his tough return a little lighter.
