Scotland hit by flight delays
Edinburgh Airport has warned of “delays to all flights this morning” as a technical issue affects Scottish air traffic control.

The situation is continuing to improve and delays are reducing, however we recognise there are now knock on delays as a result of airspace capacity restrictions in place earlier in the day.
Edinburgh Airport has made clear however that there are now no cancellations as a result of the fault.
In a statement, Nats said: “We would like to again apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers and our airline and airport customers by today’s technical problem at Prestwick centre”.
An investigation has been launched to identify the cause of a technical issue which led to flight delays at Scotland’s main airports.
Flights were hit by delays as engineers worked to establish what the problem was and fix it.
At Aberdeen Airport a spokesman said a small number of delays were affecting southbound flights but it was hoped they would be back to normal “as soon as possible”.
Passengers were asked via Twitter to check their airline for specific flight details.

Passengers at airports in Scotland tweeted their frustration with several saying they were stuck on the runway.
