Earlier this week EA gave an in-depth look into several new game modes for the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront. According to the publisher, those 9.5 million playing the game contributed around 1.6 billion minutes or so of overall playing time.
The Destiny beta? That hit 4.6 million players.

Star Wars Battlefront is rated T for Teen and comes out on November 17 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. What’s even more impressive about the beta release is how six million players fought every challenge just to unlock the Jump Pack and reach rank 5. The data was rolled out in an infographic over on the Star Wars: Battlefront website. The first issue of the flagship series in January had several hundred thousands of copies go out through “box of the month” club Lootcrate, and video game retailer Gamestop has offered special variants and posters from these two series as part of their “Power Up Rewards” program. The August Black Ops 3 beta was the biggest ever on PS4, but Activision didn’t say how many players engaged beyond a vague “millions”. These include the Cycler Rifle, which was used for at least 903 million times, and the Thermal Detonator, which was used by approximately 574 million times. Regarding their attraction of enemies and the tactics players should employ while using them, Star Wars Battlefront’s Senior Designer Björn Sundell said, “Don’t be surprised if you suddenly spot multiple foes at your tail when piloting these ships”. We already know the game is set to be a pretty popular game, but of those who played, how many actually stuck around?
