Sam Smith Announces Break From Music

British heartthrob Sam Smith will be taking a break from the celebrity circuit to just do him and catch up on a little dating. “And it feels right for me to just go home and live my life – just be a 23-year-old”, he said.

“I was told I could see it, but I wanted to save it and go with my family – and Will and Kate, the Prince and Princess”, he said with a smile, referencing the film’s upcoming United Kingdom premiere.

Earlier in October, Smith made history after landing the first United Kingdom chart number one for a James Bond theme song, with powerful ballad Writing’s On The Wall. The “Stay With Me” crooner shared that it’s time for him to gain new inspiration after the release of his hit debut album, “In the Lonely Hour”. “It’s just so high”, he said.

He then got a little bit TMI, joking, “I have to grab my balls, it’s very bad”.

Speaking to Graham Norton on the host’s show, Smith explained that it’s a pain to sing. “I’ve only actually sang the song once really”. “Because when things happen to me romantically or in my personal life-I write music”.

We hate to say this but, please, somebody break Sam Smith’s heart again if only for the good of the listening public. “But it’s the same for guys, even though they won’t speak about it”. He’s also expected to make appearances at a few awards events next year as his “Spectre” song “Writing’s on the Wall” is now in contention to be nominated at the 2016 Golden Globes and Academy Awards.

Deciding to turn this into a positive, the band quickly sculpted “Spectre” – an alternative Bond theme, devoid of the bombast normally associated with the franchise.
