Windows 10 Won’t Be Available to Everyone on Launch Day
“Starting on July 29, we will start rolling out Windows 10 to our Windows Insiders”, Myerson wrote. And Microsoft did indicate that there will be a path for power users to grab Windows 10 manually on or after July 29, though no specifics on how that might work were provided. Microsoft on Thursday in a blog revealed some details about Windows 10’s phased rollout, which will start with users on the Windows Insider programme. Launching this way lets Microsoft iron out these issues slowly, relying on its most dedicated and enthusiastic users to help spot the bugs-instead of facing a potential backlash by releasing a “finished” OS to everyone simultaneously. If you system is incompatible you might choose to complete the upgrade, and find alternative solutions in the Windows Store.

Microsoft announced it will be rolling out Windows 10 Home and Pro in phases as a way of coping with demand.
The title of the post, “Windows 10: Preparing to Upgrade One Billion Devices”, shows the scale of this upgrade.
So Windows 10 testers will get there first, but what about everyone else? Then Microsoft followed that with Windows 10 build 10159, which introduced more than 300 fixes and offers the Windows 10 flagship wallpaper by default.
People who have upgraded to Windows 10 will be able to download media that can be used to clean install Windows 10 from USB or DVD.

It’s not too surprising that Microsoft is picking up the Windows 10 preview rollout pace, given the company should be releasing to manufacturing Windows 10 in the next couple weeks (at the latest). Don’t expect anything big with this release, though – Microsoft is getting down to the polishing point of things, and build 10162’s biggest bragging points are one you won’t be able to see. OEMs and retailers will be receiving their versions of the OS before long to ensure new and recent PC purchases are ready to go. “We encourage you to prepare for your deployment of Windows 10 in the coming months”. Companies ordered Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education will have to wait a bit, so for them it will begin to be distributed to them on August 1.
