Look for Big Ben to be back against Bengals

Bryant had three catches for 45 yards and reeled in his team-high third receiving touchdown of the season in just his second game following an injury and a four-game suspension.

All three of the team’s losses have come to AFC opponents, so if the Steelers were to win all three games, it would put them in good standing not only in the AFC playoff picture, but also in the division race. Brown, Bell and Bryant are three very strong options this week against the Bengals even with Cincinnati having one of the best defenses in the league. That person is “Big” Ben Roethlisberger. They play Cincinnati, Oakland and Cleveland. After all, Mr. Jones was a three year student of Steelers Offensive Coordinator Todd Haley and unlike Vick he could approach the game from a more “cerebral” perspective based on the fact that he was a “smart quarterback” and could do the small things like audible at the line of scrimmage improvise just based on being in the Steelers system for an extended period of time. Kirkpatrick had acquitted himself well. Until then, Brown had just six catches for 63 yards. “You miss the guy when he is out, and when he is back we will roll”.

-DE Stephon Tuitt said on Monday his injured knee is feeling great, but he declined to say whether he expects to play this week against the Bengals. We know he’s hurt. That is what is going to carry us through because they are a really good defense. “Those are a few of the things that show up on field”.

Nothing has been made official, but Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said the 2-time Super Bowl victor, who missed four games with a sprained knee and bruised leg, was “close” to starting the team’s 23-13 loss at Kansas City.

“I’m not going to monitor it personally”, Tomlin said. The Steelers are hoping the return of Roethlisberger will be the difference maker that makes them a true contender to win it all. The Bengals cut the lead to 20-17 in the fourth quarter on a Jermaine Gresham touchdown reception, but gave up a second 60+ yard touchdown to Antonio Brown for a 27-17 Pittsburgh victory. This will mark the first time that the Pittsburgh Steelers will have all its offense starters in the field at the same time this National Football League season.

This game has the makings to end up in a shootout. Nelson also picked Roethlisberger for the third time in five games in last year’s finale. It still sounds like Ben will suit up Sunday against the undefeated Bengals, but we might not know for sure until later this week. Ogletree would be eligible to return for the last two games of the regular season.

There’s a chance Manziel might have to start Sunday against Arizona Josh McCown is ruled out with a shoulder injury.

To make it worse, when Huber got off a bad liner down the middle of the field in the 2013 Heinz game he not only paid with a return, but a season-ending broken jaw.

Roethlisberger is 2-4 in games after returning from injury
