Early this morning father/son fugitives Mark and Gino Stocco were arrested at a Pinevale property near the NSW town of Dunedoo.

Whether or not the death is related to the Mark and Gino Stocco’s last stand is not now known.
The men were arrested at a property on Tonniges Road at Elong Elong shortly before midday, following a covert operation involving officers from Western Region, New England Local Area Command, the Tactical Operations Unit, Aviation Support Branch, and State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad.
“Police have indicated they are probably going to charge them with attempted murder over that stand-off in Wagga Wagga”.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the arrest.
Gino divorces his wife, buys a yacht with his divorce settlement and sets off with son Mark on a three-year trip on the southern and eastern coast.
A real-estate advertisement previous year said the property had two homes, a workshop, tractor sheds, storage sheds, wooden stock yards, five dams and new fencing.
It is the flawless property “to escape to when you have had enough of city life”, its former owners said in the ad.
The men were to be taken to Dubbo police station to be charged, police said.
Later that day, a vehicle of the same appearance and registration plates reversed into a police vehicle in St James, also in northern Victoria, during a routine traffic stop.
The entrance to Dunedoo, where the Stoccos were arrested.
Mr Pheeney said police had visited the property before but that the tip-off from a member of the public led them to mount a 16-hour stake-out before moving in to arrest the pair.
Footage captured on CCTV confirms the pair stopped their LandCruiser at South Gundagai at 9pm on Saturday, before stealing $200 worth of petrol.
However, police said it was not a positive sighting.
The men were arrested in Dunedoo, in the central west region of New South Wales, police said. “I said I thought it was him and they said: “No, don’t be stupid”.
The pair were wanted for allegedly shooting at police officers in Wagga Wagga on October 16, along with a number of other violent crimes.
They evaded capture, only for the chase to resume when police spotted their silver Nissan again.
JUNE 2015 – Queensland Police issue an alert for the pair, saying they are wanted for questioning over property offences.
They allegedly carried out moonlight raids to steal goods, went on vandalism sprees, stank “like a pair of polecats” and lived off the grid with no phones, licences, bank accounts or friends.
OCTOBER 20 – Pair spotted refuelling at a service station in Euroa, in Victoria’s northeast.

Following that, the pirates became bushrangers, living off the grid in rural Australia and attempting to rip off farmers who offered them work or even help.
