Rand Paul Campaign Complains About Small Greenroom For Debate
Wednesday night’s CNBC debate came under threat of a boycott from Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for a short time earlier this month after it was announced that the debate would be devoid of opening and closing statements and longer than two hours. Ascendant outsider Carly Fiorina was provided a room with a Jacuzzi.

Christie’s was one of a few low-polling campaigns that expressed anger Tuesday at the Republican National Committee over the relatively tiny and sparse greenrooms their candidates were given compared to more lavish ones bestowed upon higher-polling contenders, according to the report, which cited three anonymous sources. Rand Paul had been relegated to small spaces that resemble bathrooms, prominently featuring toilets.
The candidates campaign committees were shown their rooms Tuesday during a tour by the RNC.
“This is ridiculous”, Ken McKay, Christie’s campaign manager, reportedly said. Rand Paul also had a bone to pick about his room accommodations.
“Was there any advance done on the campaign work spaces? Because it sure as hell doesn’t seem like it”, he said. Binudo worked for Rick Santorum’s campaign in 2012.
At the end of the meeting, the RNC pledged to address the campaigns’ concerns and later that evening, one of Paul’s aides tweeted that they had been granted somewhat improved facilities.
The third Republican debate will take place Wednesday night at the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Coors Events Center.

Trump’s greenroom is a lounge area with leather chairs and a flat-screen T.V. Rubio’s team has what looks like a movie theater with leather, roomy chairs and large armrests.
