In a Tuesday interview on the podcast, “Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss”, O’Connell reveals he’s avoided the actor for years and also discussed getting drunk at a Scientology party.

“I don’t think there will be a confrontation, but it’s just, why poke that bear?”
“It was rude what I did. I’m 41. I don’t know if Scientology is right in my wheelhouse”, he explained.
O’Connell said he had friends who joined and confessed to being tempted into joining once.
“Everyone was walking in the gates, and you’re sort of drunkenly stumbling and you’re happy to not have to drive anywhere”, he continued. The church’s mindset is such it interprets an attack on Cruise as an attack on the church, she says.
The church has been highly criticized worldwide with many calling it a scam, since it charges its members to pay a commission, with fees and courses increasing when you get further up the hierarchy.
