Three teenage California boys were arrested after a high school brawl caught on video during which the school’s principal was flipped to the ground by one of the youths, authorities said on Wednesday.

The brawl took place on the same day a white sheriff’s deputy was caught on video violently arresting a black 16-year-old student in her classroom in Columbia, South Carolina, after she refused to give her mobile phone to her teacher. Ross appeared to be trying to break up the lunch room melee. ‘I just see a whole lot of ruckus…a lot of people were just crowding over getting on tables and yelling to fight, encouraging it’.
In a note to parents, Ross said the wild fight was the result of two separate student conflicts: One was a “relationship-oriented” dispute while the other stemmed from one student insulting another.
When the fight broke out, a school resource police officer, a school official and principal Don Ross tried to break it up.
Two of the students arrested are 15 years old, and the third is 13 years old, according to local Fox 40. “School officials and law enforcement immediately responded to the incidents”, he reassured them.
A few parents did elect to keep their children from going to the school on Tuesday because of the threat, EGUSD spokesperson Xanthi Pinkerton said. “Discourage it and walk away or talk to a school official”.

Contacted at home by FOX40, Ross said he wanted to emphasize that the fight was unusual, and that many positive things and great student achievements happen at Florin High.
