Robert De Niro is cornering the “things you wouldn’t expect the elderly to do” film market. These are all questions posed in the deeply upsetting trailer for the new movie Dirty Grandpa.

Here’s a synopsis: Right before his wedding, an uptight guy is tricked into driving his grandfather, a perverted former Army general, to Florida for spring break.
Preppy attorney Jason Kelly (Zac Efron) is one week away from marrying his boss’s uber-controlling daughter putting him on the fast track for a partnership at the firm. Without the star power of De Niro, Efron and Aubrey Plaza attached to Lionsgate’s raunchy comedy the picture would likely pass by undetected, but their inclusion lends it a sliver of hope – even if it is just a sliver. We’ll see what the mileage on that premise is.
It’s basically Planes, Trains & Automobiles meets The Hangover, with De Niro as a foul-mouthed, horny and inappropriate grandpa and Efron doing the opposite of his character in Neighbors by playing the straight man who ultimately succumbs to the party.
