Sitting five rows from the front and in the middle of the screen at the NEC’s new Resorts World multiplex, the city-born comedian had a big grin on his face before the film started.

Extensively adulated by pundits, the film is coordinated by Sam Mendes and sees Daniel Craig play the smooth, Martini-drinking MI6 spy 007 in what is Bond’s 24th trip subsequent to the first – “Dr. No” – in 1962.
Bellucci, who at 50 is the oldest Bond girl in the history of the franchise, said the appeal of James Bond could be summed up in one word.
“The scene where we are kissing…it was like a tango”, she said.
The Sherlock star included: “The storyline in this film is all about surveillance and how exactly we are viewed continuously. There is plenty of prescient subject matter in the recent Bond movies”.

“We were incredibly fortunate to get Lea [Seydoux] in the film to play the part, and thankfully we had a part to give her, which was the most important bit”, says Daniel Craig.
