Robert Downey Jr. Is ‘Hero Dad’ To Boy With Cystic Fibrosis

Instagram user Vicky Keyte’s 7-year-old son, Daniel, who is a huge fan of the superhero, has cystic fibrosis and unfortunately received a few harsh words from a bully about a week ago.

According to his mum Vicky, Daniel tells the kids at school that “he too has a extra special port in his chest much like Iron Man has his arc reactor”.

The message also said that Daniel is now in a hospital and that his present condition is beginning to take its toll on his body.

“Mr. Stark here”, reads the caption to Downey’s amusing image, which shows him clawing toward the camera and sporting a pair of aviator sunglasses with his head-to-toe animal print. “This is for Daniel … who was having a rough day recently”.

Actor Robert Downey Jr. made another heart-warming gesture for a fan. Robert Downey Jr. dressed up as a Disney character – Tigger from Winnie the Pooh – and posted a shot of himself on his Instagram account to put a smile on Daniel’s face.

Daniel’s parents were overwhelmed by the star’s thoughtfulness.

Robert Downey Jr. may be Iron Man, but to one small boy, he proved to be a real hero. “If so, have your people call my people”.

Daniel’s mum posted another response, thanking the star and the people who helped get his attention, and revealed her son is excited for the big day. Completely adorable. He’s basically reacting like how any of us would react if we found out RDJ invited us to the premiere of Captain America: Civil War. Needless to say, Daniel flipped right out when he got the news – and Vicky caught part of his reaction on video.
