Do you think the Benghazi panel is politically motivated?
After grilling former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for 11 hours Thursday during her testimony before the House Select Committee on Benghazi, Chairman Trey Gowdy says he still can’t identify “what she’s taken responsibility for”.

Representative Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, read a letter at the committee hearing from Hillary Clinton to her daughter Chelsea on the night of the attack, in which Hillary wrote: “Two officers were killed today in Benghazi by an Al Qaeda-like group”.
“It’s all hatred, what can I tell you, I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m going to unify the country”, he added. “Let me assure you it is not”. I would have to refer you, frankly, to her campaign team, which has used that figure previously, I think, and explained it in a fact sheet that they released. “I have been wracking my brain about what more could have been done or should have been done”. Republicans on the committee pushed Clinton hard. Instead, her stoic performance before the committee appears likely to make her a more sympathetic figure, and allay any questions about her age.
And, Senator Charles Schumer called the House Select Committee on Benghazi a “political sham”, pointing out that while Republicans “badgered” Clinton, they also “failed to lay a glove on her”.
GOP lawmakers “badgered Hillary Clinton at every turn”. The most combative moments zeroed in on the Obama administration’s shifting initial accounts of the September 2012 attack that cost the lives of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans.
To which Clinton replied, doggedly, that she did not do the bulk of her work on email.
“Did he have your home address?”
Pompeo: “Did he ever stop by your house?” This has just been a partisan attempt to undermine Hillary Clinton.
Pompeo: “Mr. Blumenthal had each of those, and did each of those things”.
And Clinton even got in a small jab at her Democratic primary opponent Sanders, who had been critical at the last Democratic debate about those who “shout” about changing gun control laws.
She then described herself “an optimist… hoping that that will be the outcome of this and every other effort, so that we really do honor not only those that we lost, but all those who, right as we speak, are serving in unsafe places representing the values and interests of the American people”.

But on Friday, the day following her testimony, the State Department was unable to corroborate that key claim when asked.
