With the first-ever World Series game being played at Citi Field on Friday, the Mets are bringing out a few big guns of their own, in regards to the national anthem.

Cuomo’s re-election campaign is offering tickets for the Mets-Royals World Series games three or four at Citi Field – for a $5,500 price tag. To be sure, Cuomo is not just selling tickets to the game: he is also promising the purchasers special access to him at a reception before the first inning.
While the exact location of the seats is unknown, the face value of World Series tickets starts at $125. But by 2 p.m. Tuesday that had fallen to $458.
While the fundraiser is targeted more for deep-pocket donors, fans aren’t too pleased about the idea.
New York lawmakers struck a deal in 2005 to rescind the state’s anti-scalping laws, and instituted a price cap prohibiting the reselling of tickets at more than 45 percent of their face value. “Leave it to Cuomo to figure out a way to make money off of the Mets success”.

Nassau County Democratic Party leader Jay Jacobs said Cuomo’s plan is a perfectly legitimate fundraising tactic – like broadway events that include entertainment.
