Three Killed At Oklahoma State Homecoming Parade
An Oklahoma judge on Monday set bond at $US1 million for the woman suspected of ploughing her auto into a crowd at a weekend homecoming rally for Oklahoma State University, killing four and injuring almost 50 others.

Stillwater police said in a statement on Sunday the murder charges were filed in consultation with the Payne County District Attorney’s office.
A 25-year-old woman accused in the deaths of four people at the Oklahoma State homecoming parade is scheduled to appear in court Monday, after witnesses said she drove her vehicle into spectators with such force that she sent bodies flying into the air. “She didn’t do drugs”, Chambers’ attorney, Tony Coleman, said… Chambers has kept a careful watch over his daughter for years, checking her into an inpatient mental health hospital in Wagoner four years ago.
Lee Bird, vice president of OSU Student Affairs, said she spent the day consoling families at the Stillwater Medical Center and tending to their needs, observing the community selflessly unite. At least 46 other people hurt, including many children. “Miss Chambers suffers from mental illness, as to what type has yet to be determined”.
“She was kind, caring, she loved music, she was a wonderful artist”, Floyd Chambers, Adacia’s father, said. She said additional charges could also be announced at Chamber’s next court hearing in two weeks.
“There were also TV considerations”, Shutt said.
Prosecutors said there is evidence Chambers drove into the crowd deliberately.
Coleman said that he met with Chambers before her arraignment and that “she was a little bit more withdrawn” than when he first interviewed her, solidifying his suspicion that she might be suffering from a mental illness.
A blood test was administered to Chambers following the crash, and Stillwater police are awaiting results of that test to determine the possible intoxication. Seventeen of them remained hospitalized, including five in critical condition, Gibbs said.
Three adults were pronounced dead at the scene of the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade and a 2-year-old boy died later at a hospital from injuries.
Marvin Stone, 65, was a retired professor and researcher in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering.
Prabhakar, originally from Mumbai, India, was a graduate business student at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, the school said, identifying her as Nikita Nakal.
One of the injured had been a baby sitter of hers, she said.
“I know the little girl I raised wouldn’t have done something like this” intentionally, Chambers said.
Coleman said he was told that Chambers had previously contemplated suicide, but he does not think yesterday’s event was a suicide attempt. “We are going to get that information at the appropriate time and present it when it’s necessary”, Coleman said. Police didn’t immediately release any details about the four killed in the crash, which happened around 10:30 a.m. ET.
Chambers’ attorney said she moved to Stillwater from Oogolah last winter to be near her boyfriend, who was a student at Oklahoma State.

“She could have even blacked out”, Coleman said.
