FA charges Mourinho over conduct toward match officials

The Blues plummeted to 15th in the Premier League table following Saturday’s 2-1 defeat to West Ham, in which Mourinho was sent to the stands following a half-time altercation with referee John Moss (via Mirror).

The Premier League have confirmed that should a club fail to undertake media obligations, the governing body will write to them to obtain their reasons before deciding on any sanction.

“There needs to be an urgent summit meeting between Mourinho, Bruce Buck, the chairman of Chelsea, Richard Scudamore, the chief executive of the Premier League, and Mike Riley, general manager of PGMOL (Professional Game Match Officials Limited)”.

Dressing-room sources are adamant that there has been no rebellion against Mourinho – but there is an increasing bemusement at the behaviour of the Portuguese manager.

Jose Mourinho is on his way out of Chelsea, according to speculation this morning.

His situation has not been helped by more disciplinary problems having been sent off against West Ham on Saturday.

It’s certainly an intriguing situation and one that Mourinho has never found himself in during his career.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is among those who could replace Matic, but Mourinho is unlikely to revert to the largely second-string side chosen at Walsall. Incredibly, two more of what he’d lost all last season.

Asmir Begovic is expected to continue in goal, although Marco Amelia was on the substitutes’ bench at Upton Park following his free transfer arrival.

“At a few point, though, somebody has to say “We’ve got to rectify this situation”.

“It’s coming from all corners at the moment so we have to cope with that”.

“I think the club will stick with him and they should stick with him”, writes Shearer. “I wish the club all the best for the rest of the season and indeed for the future”.

“Whether it happened or not, I don’t know – but it was brilliant that he could have a little bit of banter before the game!” “If you take our last games you will see how everyone is running relentlessly, putting their lives on the line on the pitch, as we say”, Ramires was quoted as saying by dailymail.co.uk on Tuesday.
