Three adults were pronounced dead at the scene of the Oklahoma State University homecoming parade and a 2-year-old boy died later at a hospital from injuries.
“I was not satisfied at all that I was communicating with a competent individual”.
Oklahoma medical examiner’s office chief investigator Timothy Dwyer released Nash’s name Monday.
“I’ve been here 29 years”, Gibbs said. “I can’t recall an incident of this magnitude”. Eleven of them were 13 years of age or younger. Chambers was arrested Saturday after the crash and held on a complaint of driving under the influence. Chambers worked at Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers in Stillwater, the restaurant said on Sunday.
Chambers has no previous criminal record, according to Oklahoma Supreme Courts Network.
Coleman, the attorney representing Chambers, told reporters on Sunday, “I absolutely can rule out alcohol as an intoxicant. She was very good about hiding her problems because she didn’t want the family to worry about her, and she kept to herself about things like that”, Mr. Chambers said, according to KOMO.
Attorney Tony Coleman said he interviewed Chambers for about an hour Saturday night and “her behavior wasn’t consistent with drunken stupor …”
“There’s a family history of it”, Coleman said.
Coleman wouldn’t elaborate on what he meant by warning signs.
He said he will request a mental competency evaluation.
Authorities in Oklahoma on Sunday filed four second-degree murder complaints against Chambers, who has yet to be formally charged.
“The evidence indicates Chambers consciously drove through a red light, around a police barricade, over a police motorcycle and farther into a large crowd of highly visible, innocent people enjoying the OSU homecoming day festivities”, said Thomas.
“I hope we don’t lose any more“, the university’s president, Burns Hargis, said in an afternoon press conference. “The Cowboy family pulls together”. A third adult killed was Nikita Prabhakar Nakal, of Mumbai, India. In November 2011, two OSU women’s basketball coaches and a former state senator and his wife were killed in a plane crash in Arkansas.
Saturday’s tragic events overshadowed any monumental moves on the gridiron. “There didn’t appear to be the smell of alcohol coming from her body”.
“For her to purposefully go and do something like that would just not be possible”, he said.
“They’re going to paint her into a terrible person but this is not (her)”, he told the paper. She was an MBA student at University of Central Oklahoma, her school said. They believe in comforting people and helping during a time of crisis and need.
Greco said Tuesday that she doesn’t remember the first couple of minutes after the crash.
May the OSU community get past this moment as it has done times before. “And when we get all the test results back, we’ll know”. In spite of initial reports of her being fired, her boss says she was a model employee.
