Adele topples Taylor Swift’s record for single-day Vevo views with ‘Hello’
The music clip accumulated 27.7 million views in just 24 hours, beating the record previously held by Taylor Swift, who reached 20.1 million for her star-studded Bad Blood video.

The ballad “Hello” averaged one million views per hour in the first two days after its release Friday, with more than 92 million views as of Tuesday afternoon United States time. Adele‘s “Hello” is set to break record sales of 165,000 copies in three days and 156,000 downloads in United Kingdom and 450,000 in the U.S.in 48 hours. However, according to official figures, Adele broke the record with MORE viewers than we originally thought.
Adele’s video Hello opens with the Queen of Pop chatting in her cell phone in her distinctive British accent, and make no mistake about it; it’s England that’s producing the great pop singers of this era, whether it’s Sam Smith or Adele.
Adele is freaking back, you guys.
Adele may only have debuted her (INCREDIBLE) new tune Hello last week, but she’s already winning awards for it.
Cannes Jury Prize victor Xavier Dolan directed the new video, which was shot earlier this month in Montreal.
Hello is the first single from the album 25 to be released next month by 27-year-old Adele.
“[Adele and I] chatted about our lives and our loves and our romances”, Dolan told the website. I’ve had nothing to say so why am I going to say anything. “This record is all about how I feel as opposed to how someone else has made me feel, it’s about how I made myself feel”, reported Rolling Stone. Adele who said that the track went viral added that being poor at managing social media networks herself remained quiet and watched her fans’ reaction on Twitter than writing something stupid. But I haven’t got time to hold on to the crumbs of my past like I used to.

Adele will serve as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live on November 21, just a day after 25 drops.
