Interim Miami coach Campell deflects credit after going 2-0

Mallett’s bout with tardiness reared its head again over the weekend, as he missed the Texans’ charter flight to Miami on Saturday and had to fly on his own on a commercial airline flight.

Dolphins’ quarterback Ryan Tannehill set an National Football League record during last Sunday’s game.

“Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches [ever]”. “It’s something I take full responsibility for”. Reporters asked the back-up QB why he keeps showing up late for team activities and he said, “It only happened twice”.

Foster was hurt without being hit during garbage time. He was in motion and crumpled to the turf as the ball was snapped. He said he’ll undergo an MRI on Monday. Texans Coach Bill O’Brien said he didn’t know the severity of the injury, but added “it obviously didn’t look good”.

In their last matchup, New England defeated Miami by 28 points in last year’s final game.

The four-time Pro Bowl running back was having a subpar season.

Foster recorded 59 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries before exiting Sunday’s game.

In the wake of the injury, Foster said he was grateful for the support of his teammates.

A lead rusher is finally emerging in the Eagles backfield, but it’s not who you might think.

As for the game: “Not fun”. It’s not the leadership role that I need to exhibit. “So, I have to be better”.

The second quarter was more of the same as Miami scored on a 54-yard screen pass to Miller and a 23-yard interception return by safety Reshad Jones. The Dolphins did it with big plays – four touchdowns of 50 or more yards and a defensive score.

The 82-point outburst has been supplemented by a pair of defensive touchdowns, but Ryan Tannehill has had a lot to do with it. Over the last two games, the fourth-year quarterback from Texas A&M has been nearly ideal: 40-for-48 passing, 548 yards, and 6 touchdowns.

The Kansas City Chiefs ended a five-game losing run with a 23-13 victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Tight end Jordan Cameron and wide receiver Kenny Stills each played 76-percent of the game, while wide receiver Rishard Matthews and tight end Dion Sims were each on the field 76-percent of the time. The Dolphins had been 0-7 against the Texans, who built their win streak from 2003-12.

“To me, that’s the way we play defense here”, Campbell said. The second-year player has thrown for 770 yards, three touchdowns and only let up a few interceptions.

The Dolphins might want to consider lifting the interim tag from coach Dan Campbell. Since the firing of Joe Philbin on October. 5, the Dolphins (3-3) have gone from notorious underachievers to contending for their first playoff berth since 2008.

They’ve outscored two opponents 82-36.

“I always said this team had the players and playmakers and talent to play like we have the last two weeks”, Tannehill said. “Give credit to Dan and rest of the coaching staff that they’ve turned it around”. The Dolphins are looking better than have all season, but they still don’t seem better than the Patriots. One bright spot for Houston: Shane Lechler, Campbell’s former college roommate, averaged 48 yards on eight punts.
