The upcoming album was penned and produced primarily by Grimes at her home in Los Angeles and includes a collaboration with the Electric Lady Janelle Monáe and Taiwanese rapper Aristophanes, Grimes’ record label, 4AD, reported. The release also came with the welcomed announcement of her newest album Art Angels, which arrives November 6th on 4AD.
Get a first taste of Art Angels above and pre-order the album today on iTunes and Amazon.
Canadian artist Claire Boucher revealed the album’s title and artwork last week. It offers a greater emphasis on live instrumentation as Grimes showcases her range, playing piano, guitar and violin. Though it’s still certainly forward-thinking, it’s not quite as avant-garde as a few might expect.
Grimes have unveiled a double video for new tracks “Flesh Without Blood” and “Life in the Vivid Dream”, with the vid being very surreal, at one point featuring the star as a murderous angel.

In addition to making its radio debut, the song was also premiered in a batshit insane video that’ll surely please Grimes fans.
