Dave Goldberg served as CEO of SurveyMonkey for six years, leading the company to a $2 billion valuation, according to the New York Times. Goldberg died in May at the age of 47 aftercollapsing while exercising on vacation.
Since his death, Sandberg, who authored the feminist manifesto Lean In, has shared her grief and posted a widely read tribute to her late husband on Facebook.
“I watched him and his team execute on their mission to help people make better decisions”, Sandberg said in a statement issued by SurveyMonkey.
Goldberg had a long, varied career, which spanned companies like Capitol Records and Yahoo before he ultimately became chief of SurveyMonkey. The company says it pulls in more than 3 million survey responses every day.
In an assertion, Sandberg said she’d… Ebersman shepherded Facebook through its 2012 initial public offering.
