United States authorities have seized up to 10,000 guns from a South Carolina home during a raid, in one of the biggest arms hauls in the country that has witnessed a series of horrific mass shooting incidents.

But Chesterfield County Sheriff Jay Brooks says Nicholson provided an avenue for thieves to get money for stolen guns without them ever surfacing again.
“There were so many guns we quit counting after a while”.
Brent Nicholson, 51, was detained over the weekend after mountains of rifles and handguns were found stacked at his home and in a nearby storage facility.
The discovery was made when authorities brought a subpoena to the home last week.
Nicholson’s sister says he’s a good man who’s just an avid collector and lifelong hunter.
Drug dealer Brent Nicholson had stored between 7000 to 10,000 stolen guns into his home. The sheriff said at this point it appears Nicholson was a hoarder of the weapons and was not dealing them.
“It doesn’t surprise me at all”, said Cynthia Nicholson-Hinson. “There’s no evidence that he was selling them – he just wanted them”.
The Charlotte Observer reported that hundreds more weapons were found at a liquor store Nicholson and his father run and at the father’s house.
Police said they would need several days to catalogue the arsenal, which also included crossbows, ammunition and more than 500 chainsaws.

Deputies suspected that about 99 percent of the property was stolen.
