Marcus Mariota reportedly feeling better, still day-to-day
Marcus Mariota returned to the practice field Wednesday and participated in individual drills for the first time since injuring his left knee in a loss to the Dolphins on October 18. “Hopefully I can. We’re going to monitor the progress throughout the week”.

Mariota’s status for Sunday’s game against the Texans is uncertain and the team plans on taking his recovery day-by-day.
Green-Beckham played a career-high 36 snaps in last Sunday’s 10-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but didn’t catch a pass. The second-round pick has six receptions for 92 yards and two touchdowns thus far this season.
At practice on Wednesday, Mariota threw a few routes and did a few handoffs.
For starters, he’s 20 pounds lighter. “I feel like I am getting there”, Mariota said.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt said he’s been able to tell a difference. He was sacked 18 times in his five starts last season.
The Texans will try to bounce back from the disappointing loss on their home field this week versus the weakened Titans and it looks like O’Brien’s boys will prevail. “Last year, he was a little more statuesque than that”.
Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt. Unfortunately for the Titans, there’s no guarantee that Mariota will be available for this week’s contest against the Texans.
“Everyone knows the talent that he has and the type of player he is, ” Mettenberger said of Watt.
