Galaxy Nexus 7 (2012) and the Android Marshmallow Update

Over in the OnePlus forums, one of the forum members has posted a link to an unofficial Android 6.0 Marshmallow update designed for the OnePlus One handset.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update is slowly being rolled out by OEMs but not everyone will get it, and let’s not kid ourselves the carriers will take all the time in the world to deliver these OTAs to your Moto G 2014.

According to a report on Geek Snack, the Marshmallow roll-out should have already begun for the LG G4 in Poland last week and then be gradually followed by markets in Europe, Asia and US.

It was reported that the company is facing technical issues and the release of the update has now been put on hold, indefinitely. LG has announced that the “update is temporarily suspended”.

There has been no word from the company about the exact issue they encountered as well as when LG G4 users can expect the update for their device to arrive. Most likely, a few bugs were discovered throughout the final tests LG made with the Android Marshmallow OS, as the announcement of the delay has been released so late. The custom Android M ROM is based on the CyanogenMod 12.1 kernel, which means that not only is it an unofficial copy of Google’s Android 6.0 Marshmallow – it’s an unofficial copy of CyanogenMod.

The two Android 6.0 Marshmallow builds can be downloaded from developers.google.com/android/nexus, but we suggest you to just wait for the OTA update, and since you’ve just purchased the Nexus 6P it is just better to wait for the update to be released over-the-air.
