For the fourth time Golden Globe host is Ricky Gervais

After the second time Gervais hosted the Golden Globes back in 2011, many critics reportedly felt that he shouldn’t be allowed to return as a host.

While the 41-year-old comedian hosted the awards show for three years, Gervais also created and starred in the British version of the comedy show “The Office” in 2001. “Disarming and surprising, Ricky is ready to honor – and send up – the best work of the year in film and television. Fasten your seat belts”.

But in a blog post entitled “Ricky’s back!” the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which organises the Golden Globes, confirmed the news that he’ll be hosting the 2016 Golden Globes. Berman has appeared on camera for “Extra”, “Entertainment Tonight”, “Access Hollywood”, “The CBS Evening News”, CNN, and more; and was the author of 2014 desk calendar, “This Day in TV History”. “We can’t wait to find out, and we are so happy that he’s back!”

Gervais’ jokes and controversial statements are not limited to award ceremonies.

The Derek star, 54, tweeted his response shortly after, writing, “It’s a good job I’m drunk”. According to People, earlier this year, the celebrated comedian joked about how celebrities frequently break the law with little to no repercussions.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will decide winners in 25 categories with 14 in film and 11 in television.

In line with the Golden Globes host announcement, the organizers of the Oscars have also released that famous comedian Chris Rock would host the awarding ceremony in February 2016.
