Nexon Will Publish ‘Titanfall’ Mobile Games
Obviously, it will be free to play, but it will most certainly come with in-app purchases and multiplayer mode. We know EA is doing Titanfall 2 but how will the mobile games relate to that? And it’s in the hands of Particle City, a new studio funded by a shared investment between Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment and Nexon, the publisher now working to bring PC shooter Titanfall Online to Asian markets.

As part of this partnership, both companies have jointly invested in Particle City, the studio that will lead development on Titanfall’s mobile titles. Ceo and President of Nexon Owen Mahoney commented on the partnership by saying “Working closely with our partners at Respawn and Particle City we intend to build on the original game’s success and introduce millions of mobile gamers to the rich Titanfall universe”.
The first mobile game in the Titanfall universe will arrive on Android and iOS platforms sometime in 2016, but stay tuned for more details until then. The title was the third highest-rated Xbox One game released in 2014, according to videogame review score aggregator Metacritic.
After recently hitting the 10 million sales number, Titanfall will be looking to break more records when it goes mobile next year. “For us, it is exciting to take this universe we created that is so extensible”.

“So you’re gonna see characters that were just hinted at in the main fiction, you’ll see them expanded on in these games”. Zampella says (via Game Informer) they will be “original game experiences” and not first-person shooters like the original. We like to start with the game. While the mobile games will strike out in a different direction, gameplay-wise, Zampella sees a similar audience. Particle City, co-located with Respawn in Los Angeles, is now hiring top talent. “You’ll hear more about it when we’re ready”, Zampella said.
