Suzuki Ignis crossover set to make United Kingdom comeback

The Ignis will come to production whereas the Mighty Deck is something that was just an attempt to show what the designers of Suzuki are capable of.

The original Suzuki Ignis was previously available in the United Kingdom market throughout the duration of the model’s production run, which lasted between 2000 and 2008.

While Suzuki stall houses a host of exhibits at Tokyo Motor Show the sportier version of JDM spec Alto called Alto Works is a major attraction. The boxy design will feature bigger tires and beefed-up wheel arches with moldings stressing its off-road DNA with 4×4 layout.

Under the hood, the Ignis is reported to pack a 1.2-liter DualJet petrol engine with the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology, paired to a CVT gearbox. Ignis is expected to be a sub-four meter crossover with the four-wheel drive system.

The Mighty Deck, which does seem to resemble a mighty duck, offers “new kinds” of fun in the minicar segment according to the Japanese manufacturer.

The Mighty Deck is purely a concept for now and Suzuki would not discuss details of its Tokyo motor show stars following the reveal.
