Man robbed, stun-gunned, thrown on tracks in Philadelphia

Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority officials say the man was dozing in a auto on the Market-Frankford elevated line as it pulled into Millbourne Station at around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

The victim, who fell asleep on a train, awoke as a man and woman snatched a bag from him and ran out when the train came to a stop, police said. The man catches up to them on the train platform and a struggle ensues.

The victim woke up, chased the robbers, and began to fight with them on the platform, the report said.

Seconds later, the woman can be seen on the video pulling out what appears to be a Taser and jams it into the passenger’s back.

Authorities say the victim was able to make his way off the tracks and receive medical attention.

He succeeds in wrestling the male attacker to the floor before his female accomplice shoots him the stun gun causing him to fall backwards onto the tracks. The first suspect is described as a man between the ages of 20 and 25 standing 5-foot-10 and weighing 150 pounds.

The victim has not been identified, and police have not named any suspects. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and later released. She was also carrying a black pocketbook. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call SEPTA police at 215-580-8111.
