Lakers expect Bryant to play in opener

One of the most physical and energetic players to ever play in the National Basketball Association (NBA) returns as veteran forward Metta World Peace made it to the Los Angeles Lakers’ final roster for the 2015-16 season.

Apparently, Lakers brass have a long-term plan in place that will see World Peace transition from a player to an assistant coach for the team.

World Peace earned a spot on the Lakers’ roster on Monday, punctuating his comeback attempt after 19 months out of the league.

Which Bryant will show up Wednesday in the season opener against the Minnesota Timberwolves?

Kobe Bryant, who is older than hell, crankier than hell, and shackled to a misshapen Lakers team, looked better than he has in years tonight as his Lakers fell to the Timberwolves at home 112-111.

With these two teams playing, the Western Conference is well represented and these two squads are hoping for a better season this year than they had previously.

“I just think he’s ready.

My goals didn’t change, so there’s nothing to feel”, Metta World Peace said.

Black made the team over several promising players, including Jabari Brown and Robert Upshaw.

“You can try to defend the individual moves, and they are smaller moves, but this is not the pattern of a team attempting to build itself up to be a place that top free agents will want to come and play”. He recently had a talk with Russell that involved the need to work harder on defense and also the little things, including rebounding.

“We know how Kobe (Bryant) is when he leads guys”.

DiBartolomeo signed with Maccabi Haifa over the summer after spending a few time playing pro ball in Spain.

They join the retired Robert Parish and Kevin Willis, who both played 21 seasons, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who played 20. He trained at the Lakers’ training complex last summer and worked extensively with Julius Randle, the promising power forward who broke his leg in his first National Basketball Association game last fall. It’s just the fact that he’s still very young, very talented, he’s still getting a grasp of everything that’s going on. However, coach Byron Scott is confident that Bryant will be able to play.

NOTES: Interim coach Sam Mitchell said he was trying to keep his club focused two days after the death of Timberwolves president and coach Flip Saunders.
