Andrew Luck Expected To Start Against Patriots

Let’s preview the game and pick a victor. Since then, Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner have found new homes and the Colts have firmed up their receiving corps. The Patriots will say all the right things before the rematch.

While many believe this matchup will have extra edge because of the fallout from their AFC Championship Game in January, both Brady and Patriots head coach Bill Belichick maintained it would be “business as usual” when the Patriots visit the Colts. That is the only significant injury on the Patriots’ injury report.

Even without Brandon LaFell, who is on the PUP list, the Patriots passing attack has looked good. Julian Edelman led in receiving with 120 yards and a touchdown in four receptions. The biggest surprise for the Patriots has been running back Dion Lewis. Playing on the road, crowd noise will be high, and the Patriots have to master the snap count. Andrew Luck, on the other hand, ranks second to last in the traditional passer rating (65.1).

Indy could use Luck this week when the Colts (3-2) host defending Super Bowl champion New England (4-0) on Sunday night, but the Colts have also found ways to win without him lately.

The Colts have had a rough start to the season, have scraped by in each one of their wins, and are about to face their toughest opponent yet. He has only done it three times in the seven seasons since (not including 2008 or this young 2015 campaign). This Sunday will mark the 13th-straight year that the two teams have met in the regular season. These two teams hate each other and there is even more tension between them due to the entire “Deflategate” situation that the two teams had last time they played. Dion Lewis was signed and released by the Colts last season and is looking to get a few revenge on the team that didn’t give him much of a chance.

In their first home game, the Colts faced the Jets and lost 20-7, starting talks that the Colts were in trouble.

The Colts might be better off if Matt Hasselbeck plays.

New England (4-0), won at Dallas last week 30-6 after a slow start to the game that saw Tom Brady sacked five times in the first half.

Tom Brady and Andrew Luck meet after the game at Lucas Oil Stadium on November 16, 2014. “Whoever you think is in there could be somebody else anyways”. In addition, the Patriots offense is firing on all cylinders and have gushed the Colts on the ground in each of the past four contests. It isn’t going to make the slightest bit of difference in the outcome of the game.
