Nintendo unveils first smartphone game, Miitomo
Not long ago Nintendo has unveiled its intention of manufacturing mobile games to move part of its business into the mobile gaming space. Nintendo believes that this game is very friendly and expects it to be friendly and comfortable.

The Wall Street Journal liveblogged the investor meeting in Japan where Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima announced “Miitomo”.
This is the first of five games that Nintendo plans to release by March 2017.
Did you secretly think the easy-to-customise, undeniably cute “Mii” avatars used on Nintendo’s Wii were the best thing about the games console?
While originally set for release towards the end of this year – around now, in other words – Miitomo has been pushed back by Nintendo to March 2016, which will give the company more time to explain the concept.
That game will be called Miitomo (Mii Friends) and it will be a free-to-play game with in-app purchases. As expected, this news has also damaged the stocks on Nintendo.
This first app, Miitomo, centres on the Nintendo Mii creations that anyone with a Wii will be familiar with. The service is created to connect users across different devices, including PCs, smartphones and Nintendo’s consoles, Kimishima said.
It’s not a game by any traditional definition – more like a social networking app created to get people playing more games with each other.
Following the presentation, Nintendo said in a statement that Miitomo is “a free-to-start communication application that helps friends share fun personal facts and interests”. You can find all of that, here but here’s the WSJ account of Nintendo Account.

Nintendo recently made a big splash in mobile gaming with their announcement of Pokemon Go, an AR mobile game in development by Niantic, a studio made up largely of ex-Google employees. Screenshots released so far seem to indicate the Miitomo has a lot in common with Tomodachi Life, a wacky life simulator Nintendo released previous year for the 3DS.
