Officers weep at wake for NYC policeman shot in head on duty

Police Officials said plainclothes NYPD Housing Officers Randolph Holder and Omar Wallace were on routine patrol at the top of a Harlem housing project on the evening of October 20, when they heard shots fired and called for backup.

“Officer Holder is a true hero that represents New York’s and Guyana’s finest”, PBA president James Carver said in a statement.

Officer Randolph Holder’s funeral is being held at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York. “They [the family] didn’t want [Officer Holder’s] death to be in vain”.
