Crysis Dev Reveals New VR Game With Dinosaurs, Watch First Trailer

An announcement trailer for Robinson: The Journey cast the viewer as someone dodging dinosaurs with a mysterious floating robot guides them.

Crysis and Ryse: Son of Rome developer Crytek has announced its next game, but it might not be what you expect. Not only did PlayStation executives have their finger on the pulse of the VR scene firmly enough to make the call, they clearly had the tenacity (and doubtless the money) to follow it through. But what exactly are we striving to achieve?

It seems the Back to Dinosaur Island demos which Crytek had shown prior to this played a key part in making it a real gameplay experience as the team were inspired by the response from gamers.

Probably the most inspirational aspect of these demos for us was the reaction they received! The studio has leveraged huge amounts of hard work and planning behind this release all focused on delivering a photo-realistic, captivating expanse that utilizes CRYENGINE technology to its very limit.
