A big announcement was made today – hear ye!

A couple of times a year, Valve opens up their massive online games library to everyone with rock bottom prices on everything from brand new efforts to serious classics.

Fans will be pleased to find out that a lot of big names are to be found in this sale, including Grand Theft Auto V. This one will see 33 per cent taken off its normal marketing value, which is $59.99. But there are also games that are not even remotely Halloween related like Cities: Skylines ($15) and Broforce ($10) in there, too. That means you can pick up a copy of the game from Steam over this Halloween weekend for $40.19. Other expected games to appear on the sale, such as Killing Floor 2 make an appearance but it shares a similar fate as GTA V, only being marked down by 33% since it’s still in Early Access.

This Steam sale has a few pretty deep discounts on offer, seven titles are reduced by 90 per cent or more and cost pennies. Games like Dying Light and the Binding of Isaac help flesh out the list, as one would expect that they would.

Update: It looks like the original listing for the Halloween sale was indeed incorrect; there are now only 52 games officially featured in the sale (though the games that have been removed are still on sale).

But be careful though.
