Now Loading…What Do You Think of Quantic Dream’s Detroit?
Take a look at the video below and read on for a few quotes.

While the visuals of Detroit are outstanding for the PS4 (a known trait for Quantic Dream games is their impressive graphical output), the waif, cliched monologue we hear from Kara is a cause for concern.
We don’t have much indication of how Detroit will play, although if it’s like past Quantic Dream games, it will likely revolve around Kara wandering around a futuristic Detroit having “experiences” and adventures you’ll engage with via motion controls and quicktime button presses. The games themselves have also had divisive reactions, with “Heavy Rain” mostly getting praised, while “Beyond: Two Souls” got mixed reviews. She felt emotions, and appeared to be aware. That’s going to be different for PS4, we hope, especially when it comes to Heavy Rain which was released in the early days of PS3.
Probably, development on this collection is not being handled internally by Quantic Dream, as the French studio is focusing on Detroit: Become Human, the new game announced at Paris Games Week 2015 featuring Kara, the female protagonist first revealed as part of a 2012 tech demo.
Be sure to watch the full video for more.
“Detroit: Become Human” is a PlayStation 4 exclusive, which isn’t entirely surprising considering that all games from Quantic Dreams have only hit consoles made by Sony. The PS4 game follows the sophisticated android character Kara from Quantic Dream’s previous tech demo.
While a story involving artificial intelligence (A.I.) and emotions isn’t exactly original, David Cage – the game’s director, stated that this would be more about the human aspect than the android one.
“We didn’t want to do another story on AI (there are already so many great ones), we wanted to talk about what it means to be human and what it would be like to be in the shoes of an android discovering our world and their own emotions…”

Whether “Detroit” gets praised or lambasted remains to be seen as no release date has been announced for the game.
